Ms. Trotter sees clients in Ponca City & Tulsa. Calls are answered Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. Ms. Trotter holds a Masters of Science in Family Relations and Child Development with Specialization in Marital and Family Therapy. Before starting her private practice, Ms. Trotter was the Family Resource Coordinator for the Families in Transition Program at the Tulsa County Courthouse. As the Family Resource Coordinator, Ms. Trotter assisted the Court in changing the way people going through Domestic Court is handled. Through serving on the Families In Transition Working Committee, she assisted in establishing the court procedure of requiring parents to attend mediation before going to trial as well as establishing the Parenting Plan Conference as the first setting parents attend when they go to court.
Ms. Trotter sat on the Families in Transition Working Committee that wrote the original Parenting Coordinator Order the courts still use today to appoint parenting coordinators. While working at the courthouse, she also served on the Quality Assurance Panel as well as the Children and the Law Committee. She is currently on the approved court lists of Custody Evaluators and Mediators.
Throughout her career, Ms. Trotter has given various interviews on Fox News, KOTV Channel 6 News, and the TBN Network. She has done several radio spots in Tulsa and Ponca City as well. Ms. Trotter has written and taught various classes, including Surviving High Conflict, Blending Stepfamilies, and Successful Single Parenting. She still teaches those classes and has been teaching Helping Children Cope with Divorce since 1995. Ms. Trotter has taught Anger Management, various parenting classes, and has given many seminars to colleges and companies in the Tulsa area. Ms. Trotter has also been an adjunct instructor with Oklahoma State University.
